U-turn for U-Drive
U-Drive Ltd has been established in vehicle hire for over 25 years, specialising in commercial vehicle hire, operating from 16 locations and running in excess of 1300 vehicles, from small cars up to and including 44 ton articulated vehicles. They take advantage of RentMan’s facilities to run their business centrally from Bournemouth International Airport, Christchurch, Dorset. Explained Richard Sutton, U-Drive Ltd’s General Manager:
”U-Drive Ltd first used RentMan vehicle rental software for the control of its rental fleet in the late 1980s, and continued to use it until 1997. Around that time, several new companies came into the market place, offering technology that was not then available from RentMan, and U-Drive chose to explore these other systems.
”Despite promises from these other suppliers, no other company’s system could offer the reliability, accuracy and flexibility offered by RentMan, and we subsequently returned to use their system.
”Currently operating RentMan with a Sage interface, this offers us the flexibility to open branches anywhere in the UK with a broadband connection. No more worries of server management, data back-up or system failures, U-Drive can now concentrate on operating a vehicle hire business.
”RentMan is easy to use, with new staff requiring minimal training. The helpline is excellent; problems are dealt with immediately – unlike other providers when problems could be left for weeks, or even months.
”However, more importantly the reporting functions are accurate; the management information can be relied upon to help decision-making within the company, and improve profitability.“ |
